NATCHEZ — Funeral services for Charles Brown Jr., 68, of Natchez, who departed this earthly life on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2024, in Flowood, will be held on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Jerusalem Baptist Church with Pastor Larry Wright Sr., officiating.

Burial will follow at the Windy Hill #2 Church Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church.

Charles was born February 24, 1956, in Natchez, the son of Ethel Washington Brown and Charles Brown, Sr. He was a retired truck driver. He was a DJ and was known as “DJ Sweet Daddy.”

He was preceded in death by his parents and his paternal and maternal grandparents.

Charles leaves to cherish his memories: sons, Jermaine Smith and Desmond McGuire Sr.; daughters, Fallon Brown Perry (Tremaine), Ke’Aira Evans Reynolds, and Cameatris Payne (Leonard); brothers, Marshall Townsend, Randle Fleming, Otis Brown, and Stacey Brown; sisters, Yvonne Brown, Clarice Brown, Sherry Ann Kennedy; Denise Brown, Josephine Brown, Nina Brown, and Teresa Brown; grandchildren, Maurice Thornburg, Jr., Demoris Jackson Jr., Desmond McGuire Jr., Chance McGuire, Kendall McGuire, Cameron Reynolds, Kaylee Reynolds, and Kali Reynolds; and a host of other relatives and friends.
