Ferriday-Block game suspended as lights go out

JONESVILLE, La. — Ferriday High School’s varsity football game at Block High School on Fridayt was called with about three minutes left in the first quarter after the lights went out at Block’s football stadium.
Ferriday assistant coach Devante Scott said the game would resume on Saturday at 10 a.m. with the Trojans leading the Bears 8-0. Robert Taylor scored on a 30-yard touchdown run and the two-point conversion run was good with about eight minutes left in the opening quarter.
Then at 7:32 p.m., the stadium went black when the all the lights stopped working and the game was postponed.
