NATCHEZ — Natchez police responded to a two-car accident with injuries on John R. Junkin Drive near the Merit Health Natchez hospital just before 12:30 this afternoon.
Natchez Police Chief Cal Green said the injuries were non-life-threatening.
One person had only bruises and the other was receiving an X-ray to see if any internal injuries exist, she said.
Everything at the crash site had been cleared as of 1 p.m., so traffic should flow normally.
Green advised drivers to exercise caution during the rain and impacts of Hurricane Francine, which is forecast to pass to the East of Adams County overnight Wednesday and Thursday but is still expected to bring wind gusts up to 45 miles per hour and potentially bring down trees and power lines.
