NATCHEZ — Graveside services for Peggy Delores McNeely, 86 of Natchez, will be held at Lismore Baptist Church Cemetery on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2024, at 11 a.m. with Bro. Will Wilkerson officiating under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Peggy Delores McNeely was born on Sunday, July 17, 1938, in Poland, Louisiana and passed away Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2024, in Natchez. Peggy enjoyed sewing, crocheting, hand-working, drawing, playing the piano, singing alto in the church choir, the real estate industry and mostly being with her family. She will be loved and missed by all who knew her.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the Magnolia Village for providing such a nice place to live and the care they gave, Bryant Reed, Karen Forster and Brother Will Wilkerson for caring visits and prayers, and the Jefferson Street women for the many flowers they sent. A very special thanks to Barbara for being such a good friend.
She was preceded in death by her father, Otha Reed Sober; mother, Lessie Lea Wilmore; daughter, Peggy Lea McNeely; brother, Otha Bryant Sober and sister, Gwendolyn Sober Pennington.
Those left to cherish Peggy’s memories are her daughters, Crista Ray McNeely Young and her husband Dr. Henry Thomas Young of Ruston, Louisiana and Lyda McNeely Jordan and her husband Charles Jordan of Natchez; four grandsons, Thomas Young, Michael Young, Kenneth Jordan and Bankston Jordan and two granddaughters, Sarah Young Nolan and Margaret McNeely Jordan.
