NATCHEZ — The Mississippi Bureau of Investigations is currently investigating an apparent road rage incident where shots had been fired out of a moving vehicle on U.S. 61.

Corporal Craig James of the Mississippi Highway Patrol Public Affairs Division said troopers received a call just after 3 p.m. today stating that a subject in a 2002 red GMC pickup was shooting a firearm out of his window on U.S. 61 near Selma Estates Road.

The caller followed the vehicle at a distance while on the phone with MHP, James said, adding that the suspect’s vehicle ended up stopping on U.S. 61 in Jefferson County where troopers made contact with him.
