A teenage driver sustained injuries in a single-vehicle crash around 6 p.m. Sunday on Red Loop Road, Adams County Sheriff Travis Patten said.

“The driver was driving at a high rate of speed, lost control, hit the gravel and the vehicle spun around and went off the road into the trees and bushes,” Patten said.

Patten said the driver “just had some scratches and a few bruises” and walked to the ambulance following the incident.

AMR transported the driver to Merit Health Natchez for further evaluation.
