A search involving multiple agencies for a 45-year-old missing man who earlier this afternoon had reported being “lost in the woods” has ended with him being found safe at a residence on Frederick Road in rural Adams County.
Adams County Sheriff Travis Patten said Lawrence Daniel Baker looked to be “in bad shape,” adding AMR had been contacted and were on the way to the house at 6:45 p.m.
Baker called 911 at 1:20 p.m. Saturday to say that he had been lost in the woods near 36 Pond Meadows Road for two days.
Adams County E911 dispatchers made later attempts to connect with Baker, but his phone went dead.
Patten said multiple agencies began searching for Baker in the area of Pond Meadow and Greenfield roads. The search included Adams County Sheriff’s Office, Adams County Emergency Management, Adams Search and Rescue, and Mississippi Wildlife and Fisheries, Patten said.
