FAYETTE – Graveside services for Bennie Valdney Beesley, 94, who died at his residence in Fayette on Friday, Aug. 16, 2024, will be held Thursday, Aug. 22, 2024, at 11 a.m. at the Fayette Cemetery in Fayette with Rev. Leon Bullen officiating. Services will be under the direction of Spencer Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, Aug. 22, 2024, from 10 until 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Beesley was born March 3, 1930, to Pearl and Ada Love Beesley in Clark, MS (now known as Blue Hill). He graduated from Red Lick School in Red Lick, MS. He was employed by International Paper Mill in Natchez where he retired after many years of service.
Mr. Beesley is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, John Henry Beesley, Louis Beesley, Paul Beesley, and Walter Beesley, and three sisters, Pearlie Smith, Anne Smith, and Ruth King.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Rita Sanders Beesley of Fayette, and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Donald Burns, Robert Burns, Patrick Sanders, Robert Starnes, Burt Anderson and Albert Schwindling.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Claude Harrigill and Richard Rhodes.
