Brace for heat index values up to 115 degrees on Sunday

An excessive heat warning was issued by the National Weather Service on Saturday at 2:48 p.m. valid for Sunday between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m.

“For the Excessive Heat Warning today and Sunday, dangerously hot conditions with heat index values of 110 to 115 degreesF,” comments the NWS. “The threat for dangerous heat will continue through Sunday.”

“Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events,” explains the NWS.
