Is Natchez a lucky place for Mississippi Lottery players? Last week, tickets purchased at local convenience stores won thousands of dollars in Mississippi Lottery prizes.

According to Mississippi Lottery officials, two lucky players who purchased Cash 4 lottery tickets in Natchez won more than $5,000. The winners were announced on the Mississippi Lottery website on Wednesday.

A resident of Waterproof, Louisiana, claimed $2,700 from a Cash 4 ticket bought at Sprint Mart #62 in Natchez. The ticket was purchased for the Aug. 10 evening drawing.

In a similar stroke of luck, a Natchez woman won $2,600 with a Cash 4 ticket purchased from EZ Quik Stop #2 in Natchez. The ticket was purchased for the Aug. 6 evening drawing.
