FERRIDAY, La. — Two 17-year-olds were arrested in Ferriday following a shooting incident late Sunday on the east side of town, where the pair allegedly fired shots into an occupied dwelling, police said.

Michael Johnson, who is the assistant to Ferriday’s newly appointed Interim Chief Derrick Freeman, said that 17-year-olds Charles Edwards Davis and Davonta Deshaun James were arrested in relation to the late Sunday incident where shots were fired into a home occupied by two juveniles, one of which was a 5-month-old baby, and an elderly grandmother.

“Luckily, thank God, no one was injured,” Johnson said, adding there were damages to two vehicles and the home itself when the shots were fired.
