NATCHEZ – Funeral services for Charles “Bubba” Davidson were held on Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2024, at Laird’s Funeral Home in Natchez.

Bubba passed away after a brief illness on Aug. 8, 2024.

Bubba was a lifelong resident of Natchez. He was the owner of Davidson Package Store, and a former owner of Davidson Farms and Davidson Trucking, and an employee of International Paper for 20 years before retiring.

He was a member of the Shriners Organization and the Masonic Lodge. He was an active member of Adams County Farm Bureau and served in several key positions. He was a former board member of the Mississippi Hospitality and Beverage Association.

He is survived by his wife, Teen Davidson; his daughters, Madeline “Birdie” Hill, Laura Merritt, and husband, Blane, Susan Havard, and Nancy Bass, and his nephew, Mark Davidson, and wife, Renee. He also leaves behind grandchildren, Trevor Hanson, Dr. Parker Merritt, Kristen Box and husband, Adam, Whitney Dossett and husband, Gage, Will Arbuckle, Andrew Bass, Leah Breazeale and husband Adam, McKenzie Davidson, Megan Bass, and Michael Davidson and two great-grandchildren, Zoey Box and Ryleigh Bass.

He was preceded in death by his parents, W. Ernest Davidson and Emma Lee Crossgrove Davidson; his brother, William B. Davidson, and nephew, Ernest Davidson.

Pallbearers were Will Arbuckle, Andrew Bass, Adam Box, Gage Dossett, Lawrence Perritt and David Dodson.

Honorary pallbearers were Jack Sojourner, Jerry Beene, Dr. Parker Merritt, Adam Breazeale, Scott Maxfield, Webb Carter, Emmett Minor, Willie Minor, Pee Wee Bassett, Ray Bassett, and Caleb Johnson.
