NATCHEZ – Michael “Lynn” Hornsby, 74, of Troy, OH passed away Monday, Aug. 5, 2024, at Koester Pavilion, Troy, OH. He was born on Feb. 28, 1950, in Natchez to the late Oliver and Mary Jane (Smith) Hornsby.

He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Rusty (Nida) Hornsby and Pat Hornsby; as well as his sister, Margaret Nell “Sis” O’Neal.

Those left to cherish Lynn’s memory include his daughters, Emily (Bob) Davis of Dallas, TX, and Layla Ochoa of Beaumont, TX; granddaughter, Magnolia Davis; sisters, Mary Jane (Bo) Morgan of Hattiesburg, MS, and Janiver Couture of Leeds, AL; and brother Jeff (Pam) Hornsby of Los Angeles, CA, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Lynn received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Southern Mississippi and worked in the service industry for many years. He was a skilled guitarist and musician who had a love for gardening and computers. Most of all, Lynn cherished the time he spent with his family and friends.
