NATCHEZ – Funeral services for Rosetta Murray, 82, of Natchez, who died on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, in Natchez, will be held on Saturday, Aug. 3, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Second Union Baptist Church with Pastor Dandridge Brooks officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Aug. 2, 2024, from 5:30 until 6:30 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.

Rosetta was born April 5, 1942, in Adams County, the daughter of Gertrude R. Murray and Aaron Murray. She was a cook at the Windmill, and Holiday Inn, and later retired from the Isle of Capri. Rosetta was a member of the Second Union Baptist Church where she served in the Senior Choir, with the Willing Workers, and was a Good Samaritan (St. Clara Lodge #23). In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking and fishing.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Irene Jackson, Millie Washington, and Alberta Easton; brothers, Aaron Murray Jr., James Murray, and Williest Murray; four brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews.

Rosetta leaves to cherish her memory: sisters, Inez Foster and Mary Daisy Murray; one sister-in-law, Nancy Murray; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
