NATCHEZ — A two-vehicle wreck that happened Monday morning near the Adams County Correctional Center ICE facility on U.S. 84 injured one person.

Chief Stanley Searcy II of Adams County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to the accident at approximately 5:35 a.m. However, the Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating this incident.

“A worker of the prison was turning off of U.S. 84 to the prison and got T-boned by another vehicle traveling the opposite way,” Searcy said, adding the prison employee complained of minor pain but no serious or life-threatening injuries.

“He looks like he’s going to be OK,” Searcy said. “There were no fatalities and no one had to be transported or flown out or anything.”
