NATCHEZ – Funeral services for Laura Lee Davis Russ, 70, of Natchez, who died on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, in Natchez, will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at the New Beginnings Missionary Baptist Church at 11 a.m. with Rev. Leroy White officiating.

Burial will follow at the Old Mt. Plain Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024, from 3:30 until 4:30 p.m. and on Saturday, July 20, 2024, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.

Laura was born Dec. 23, 1953, in Natchez, the daughter of Arnita Davis and George Runner. She was a graduate of North Natchez High School, Class of 1971. She was a member of the New Beginnings Missionary Baptist Church, where she served on the usher board.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Patricia Campbell; grandson, Jay Allen McBride; and nephew, Quinton Campbell.

Laura leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Louis Russ; sons, Kelvin Allen, Patrick Allen (Jimmeek), and Travell Allen (Keri); daughter, Patrice Allen; sisters, Deborah Anderson (Herbert) and Sahara Tyler; grandchildren, MaKayla Green, Quinton McBride, James McBride, Jr., Brandon Allen, Peyton Allen, Jaydon Allen, Ayden Allen, and Isaiah Searcy; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
