NATCHEZ – Services for Willie Mae Williams, 92, of Natchez who died on Saturday, July 13, 2024, in Natchez will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with Mark Henderson officiating.

Burial will follow at Springhill Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at Laird Funeral Home.

Mrs. Williams was born August 4, 1931, in Roxie, MS the daughter of Richard Alvie Whitehead and Eron Thomas Whitehead.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. (Buddy) Williams; parents, Eron and Alvie Whitehead; two brothers, Jack B. Whitehead and Ford Whitehead; and a nephew Elzie Whitehead.

Survivors include one daughter, Dianne Housley; one son, Junior Williams, and wife, Connie; four grandchildren, Bryan Housley, Daryn Housey (Rebeccah), Haley Weaver (Drew), and Corey Williams (Jenna); six great-grandchildren, Aubrey Claire Housley, Lane Weaver, Levi Weaver, Callon Williams, Jed Williams and Ellie Kate Williams; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Junior Williams, Corey Wiliams, Bryan Housley, Daryn Housley, Drew Weaver, and Gene Williams.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jamie Tyson, Sam Thomas, Jack Smith, Mark Williams, and Mike Williams.

Memorials may be made to Springhill Baptist Church fund or a charity of choice.
