NATCHEZ — Ranbured 9U All Stars were sure-handed and errorless on the field, but that didn’t keep Natchez 10U All Stars from triumphing with an overall score of 4-2 on Sunday.

A walk by Miller B put Natchez on the board in the top of the first inning. However, an error by Natchez helped Ranburne 9U tie the game 1-1 in the bottom of the first.

A single by Miller then gave Natchez the lead, 2-1, in the top of the third.

Brandon B hit an inside-the-park home run, scoring two runs in the top of the sixth inning for Natchez.

Natchez’s pitcher Patrick G gave up five hits and two runs, one earned, over six innings, striking out one and walking two. Ranburne’s starting pitcher went five and one-third innings, giving up three runs, two of them earned, on six hits, striking out five and walking three.

Brandon also shined in the middle of the batter’s lineup and led Natchez All-Stars with two runs batted in. Brandon and Noah J each collected two hits for Natchez while Hayes B stole two bases.

McIntire led Ranburne with two hits in three at-bats from the leadoff position. Another Ranburne hitter went 1-for-3 at the plate while the infielder led the team with two runs batted in. McIntire also helped steal multiple bases for Ranburne. Ranburne turned one double play in the game.
