Sept. 4, 1940 – June 29, 2024
Robert P. “Bobby” Cauthen passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 29, 2024, at the age of 83. He was born on Sept. 4, 1940.
The son of William Andrew and Edith Trudell Cauthen. He was a lifelong resident of Natchez as was his mother.
Bobby was a proud Navy veteran and loved his country. In his early years, with the help of his three sons, he farmed Poverty and Destruction Plantation on Carthage Point Rd. Later in life he went on to excel in the oil spill cleanup business, as the owner of American Environmental Services. While doing both he was also the helicopter pilot for the Adams Co. Civil Defense for many years. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and play in and around the waters of the Mississippi River.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 49 years, Pamela M. Cauthen; daughter-in-law, Jeanie D. Cauthen; three brothers, and three sisters.
He leaves behind three sons, Scooter and (Janet), David and (Gina), and Todd, six grandchildren, Wesley, Chase, Colin, Kayla, Colter, and SK, and a special friend and companion, Mary Beth Peck.
Special thanks to Jose Serio and Brandon Wilson in our hour of need.
In honor of his wishes, there will be no funeral, but only a graveside service for family and close friends to be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s.
