FERRIDAY, La. — Authorities are investigating a deadly house fire that occurred early Wednesday morning.

Crews responded to 182 Lynn Haven Drive in Ferriday around 3:02 a.m. on Wednesday when a 911 caller reported that a house was on fire.

Firefighters reported they found a deceased victim who was later identified as 61-year-old Paul Wayne Baxter.

The cause and manner of death are pending an autopsy.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation
