FAYETTE — Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 13-year-old after a man was stabbed to death overnight Saturday into early Sunday morning, June 9.
Jefferson County Sheriff James Bailey said officers responded to a disturbance call on Green Acres Drive just outside of Fayette shortly after midnight on Sunday.
When they arrived, they found 34-year-old Phillip Queen of Fayette deceased with several stab wounds.
Further investigation led to the arrest of a 13-year-old, also from Fayette, who is held at the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. After his initial court appearance on Monday, he was not issued a bond and will possibly be charged with murder as an adult, Bailey said.
Bailey said further information could not be released as the investigation is still ongoing.
