Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

We are excited to announce that, beginning in June, the City of Natchez will be providing additional garbage services – to better serve our citizens and help keep our city cleaner.

These new services will provide for the collection of up to eight (8) cubic yards of bulk materials and “white goods” twice per month. Below are descriptions of these additional services, and what will be collected, along with instructions and guidelines. This service will be available to our citizens every other week, depending on when your regular garbage gets picked up.

For those whose garbage is picked up on Mondays and Thursdays, these services begin the first week of June.

For those whose garbage is picked up on Tuesdays and Fridays, these services begin the second week of June.

Services will then continue, alternating each week thereafter. You must have bulk materials out by 7 a.m. on your designated MONDAY. (Arrow does not pick up on Mondays only, this is simply the deadline to have it out). Arrow will make bulk collections Monday through Friday, during your designated collection week.

Bulk Landscaping Materials

The city will now pick up large limbs and piles of tree trimmings that are too heavy to be collected by hand. Limbs must be cut in lengths of 6’ or less and shall be 8” or less in diameter. This service is for tree limbs that are too large for the city’s regular bi-weekly trash collection. Our service provider, Arrow Disposal, will continue to collect small piles (up to 2 cubic yards) of bagged or bundled yard waste each week on your regular garbage day.

White Goods

White goods include refrigerators, washers, dryers, and other household appliances or furniture. All items placed for collection must be drained of freon and tagged accordingly.

Construction Debris

Waste materials from do-it-yourself renovation projects that are placed in tied contractor grade bags and set curbside for collection will now be picked up. Construction debris is limited to four bags per collection.

Pickup Guidelines

• This service is for bulk waste generated through routine landscaping or from do-it-yourself projects. For residents who hire a contractor or tree service, the vendor must haul away the waste materials.

• Bulk materials may be placed at the curb up to 1 week prior to your regularly scheduled service.

• Bulk materials will be picked up only during your scheduled service week. Once your ZONE is serviced, the Bulk Crew will not return to that ZONE until two weeks later.

• Neatly pile your bulk waste materials at least two feet from utility poles, low hanging trees, fences, gas/water meters, fire hydrants, mailboxes and sprinkler heads, along with any other obstacles that would prevent collection. Do not block sidewalks or the view of oncoming traffic.

• Small bundles of yard waste and bagged leaves will continue to be collected each week during your normal trash pickup by Arrow’s rear load crews.

Should you need bulk collection in excess of the 4 bags of construction debris (or) 8 cubic yard total combined limit, please contact Arrow Disposal Service for a special services quote by calling toll free 1-866-440-3983.

We anticipate that there will be a few hiccups along the way – and we ask for everyone’s patience in learning the schedule and making sure to put debris and white goods out only during the weeks your service applies. Working together, we can make our city cleaner and keep it that way. Because Natchez Deserves More.
