MIDDLETOWN, CT – Nancy Beaton Williams formerly of Natchez died peacefully at home on May 2, 2024, at her residence in Middletown, CT.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Edgar Williams also formerly of Natchez.
She was born on May 31, 1923, in New York City to Nancy and Lawrence Beaton. She earned her teaching degree in Home Economics from NYU Plattsburgh and later became a stewardess flying for American Airlines and Western. John and Nancy moved to Natchez upon his retirement from Chevron and became involved with the Natchez Historical Society, the Natchez Beautification Project on the Bluffs, and the Natchez Garden Club, and were active members of the First Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her three children, Margaret “Maggie” Feagans and her husband, James “Jim” Feagans, Dr. Diana Wilson and her husband, Dr. Kenneth Haik, Lawrence Williams, and his wife, Lisa Williams; grandchildren, Amelie Wilson Sanders, Nancy Wilson McKnight, Mary Elizabeth McGehee Taylor, John H. Williams, William R. McGehee, George H. Wilson III, Christopher L. Williams, Tristan A. Wilson, Melissa C. Williams, and Martha Jane Williams along with 16 great-grandchildren. She will be buried at the Natchez City Cemetery at a later date.
