NATCHEZ – Funeral services for Robert Andrel Allen, 41, of Ferriday, LA were held on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at the Living Word Worship Center in Natchez, MS under the directions of Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday. He was interred beside his grandmother, Irma Hagan Allen at the Vidalia Cemetery in Vidalia, LA. Pastor Dwight Greene officiated.
Robert, the youngest of five children of Gene T. and Bonnie Rand-Andrews Allen, was born in Natchez and died at his residence. He was a 2000 honor graduate of Vidalia High School and attended Louisiana Tech with a major in computer technology. He was a Louisiana Licensed Funeral Director and a Louisiana Licensed Insurance Producer. He was a member of the “TEAM” at Concordia Funeral Home.
In addition, he was an active brother in the US Supreme Council 33-degree Mason; Pride of Vidalia #106; Rosewood Chapter #65 O. E. S. of Vidalia; Heroines of Jericho Chapter of Vidalia; King Solomon Temple, Commandery #19 of Monroe, LA and the Dunbar Temple #250 of Winnsboro, LA. His hobbies included computer technology, “Old Skool Cars,” motorcycles, traveling, cooking his favorite “Hot Pots,” and spending quality time with his family and friends and eating out.
Preceding Robert in death are his maternal grandparents, Joe “Joe Boy” and Ernestine Rand Andrews; paternal grandparents, Irma Hagan Allen and Robert Riley; special uncle and aunt, Ernest and Jennie Tibbs Hagan, and one nephew, Willie “Trey” Christian, III.
His life, love, and legacy will forever live on in the hearts of his family: his parents of Ferriday of Lake St. John; his siblings, Lisa Abron (Earl) of Vidalia, Gene A. Jones (Brenda) of Natchez, Melanie “Penny” Allen of Stafford, TX, Genesia Allen-Jefferson (Gaylon) of Ferriday; fifteen aunts including, Odeal Allen Bowman of Vidalia; one great aunt, M. A. Andrews of Jefferson, TX; four uncles including, Carlos Andrews (Debra) of Natchez; godparents, Lewis and Vina Matthews; three godbrothers, Lewis Matthews, Jr. and Farren Lewis all of Ferriday; Fredrick McKeel Brown (Lachandra) of Memphis, TN; godsister, Cynthia Matthews Walker (Anthony) of Lawton, OK; his best friends, Katrelle Jefferson of Ferriday and William “Hall” Blanton of Natchez and the “Three Amigos”. Also, a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many, many friends whom he dearly loved.
