FAYETTE – Funeral services for Matteal Shaw, 87, of Fayette, who passed away on May 4, 2024, will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Greenleaf Baptist Church with Elbert Eakins officiating under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.

Matteal Moore Shaw was born March 10, 1937, to the late Luke and Regina Moore. Matteal was a true believer in great work ethics and displayed those in her everyday life. She worked for over 20 years at ITT Automotive. After its closure, she became a full-time grandmother to her grandchildren and her greatest hobby – growing flowers. “Muddear”, as she was fondly called, even by her nieces and nephews, was the mother to all she encountered.
