NATCHEZ – Funeral services for James Randell Washington, 59, of Natchez, who passed away on May 1, 2024, will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Pilgrim Baptist Church at 1 p.m. with Pastor Melvin White officiating under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation services will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024, from 4 until 6 p.m. at the Marshall Funeral Home Chapel in Natchez and on Saturday, May 11, 2024, from noon until the service time at the church.

James, affectionately known as “Randy”, was born on May 21, 1964, in Natchez, MS, to Jessie Willie Easton and Carrie Mae Clemons Washington.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Martha Mae Johnson Fleming, and Carrie Mae Clemons; and his nephew, Tyrone L. Johnson.

James leaves to cherish his memories sons, Michael Reed Sr. of Orlando, FL, and De’vante Townsend of Fayette, MS; daughters, Jade’ Lusk of Monroe, LA, and Ranisha Townsend, Candace Townsend, and Lakesha Townsend all of Fayette, MS; sisters, Laura (Henry “Mac”) Clemons Garner and Gloria Washington Porter of Natchez, MS; ten grandchildren, Antonio Townsend, Za’Kiya Townsend, Jaide Lusk, Journei’ Doss, Jer’miyah Townsend, Jewel Doss, Jonah Scoby, Michael Reed Jr., Montreal Reed, and Maylani Reed; and a special friend, Linda Young; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
