FERRIDAY – Funeral services for Mrs. Earnestine Henderson Harris, 90, of Ferriday, LA will be held Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at 10 a.m. from Mercy Seat Baptist Church in Ferriday under the directions of Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 5 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home. She will be interred beside her husband, Edward Harris at the Natchez National Cemetery in Natchez. Bishop Justin Conner will officiate.
Mrs. Harris was born in Ferriday, the daughter of Walter and Beatrice Wallace Henderson, and died at the Camelot Leisure Living Home in Ferriday.
She is survived by her loving and devoted children, Joyce Burns of Ferriday; Malcolm Tyler and his wife, Phyllis of Missouri; Beatrice Conner of Texas; one brother, Leroy Henderson of Harvey, LA; one sister, Elizabeth Calhoun of Arlington, TX. In addition to a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and many friends throughout the Miss-Lou area.
Preceding her in death are her husband; one son, James Tyler, and one daughter, Lillie Mae Taylor.
