DALLAS, TX – It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Leola Whitley Jackson of Manvel, TX formerly of Ferriday, LA on April 19, 2024, at the Orchard at Southfork Assisted Living in Manvel. She was born March 5, 1922, in Monterey, LA the daughter of Tom Wess Whitley, Sr. and Elizabeth Virginia Walker Whitley.
She is survived by one daughter, Jerri Lee Walker, and her husband, Kent; eight grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren and two great-great-great-grandchildren. Also, a host of nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband, Calvin Jackson, Sr.; a son, Calvin Jackson, Jr.; her siblings, Elnora Whitley Jennings, Tom Wess Whitley, Jr., Aaron Kelly Whitley, and Houston Whitley, Sr.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 2, 2024, at 11 a.m. from the True Believers Baptist Church, 2414 Kilburn Ave., Dallas, TX under the directions of Sacred Funeral Home, 1395 N. Hwy 67 South, Cedar Hill, TX 75104. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. until service time at the church. Mrs. Jackson will be interred beside her husband at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas.
