CLAYTON – Funeral services for Shannon Morales, Sr., 47, of Natchez, MS, formerly of Ferriday, LA, who passed on Apr. 17, 2024, in Natchez, MS, will be at 11 a.m., on Friday, Apr. 26, 2024, at St. Mark Baptist Church, Clayton, LA, with Pastor Rickey O’Quinn officiating.
Burial will follow at Consurella Cemetery, Waterproof, LA, under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.
Visitation will be on Thursday, April 25, 2024, from 4 until 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
Shannon Morales, Sr. was born March 25, 1977, in Pineville, LA, the son of Johnny Mack Morales and Carolyn Minor Morales.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Edward “Mr. Fats” and Dorothy Dix Minor; paternal grandparents, Pete, Sr. and Roseanna Collins Morales; one brother, Michelle D. Morales; and one sister, Cameron Morales.
Shannon leaves to cherish his loving memories his parents; two sons, Shannon Morales, Jr., and Carlos Collins; five daughters, Consuela Morales, Au’Layia Morales-Emery, Ka’Layia Morales, all of Ferriday, LA, Ti’Niya Swanson, of Zachary, LA, and Schuyler Morales, of Collinston, LA; one brother, Clifton Belton, of Fayetteville, NC; six grandchildren, Alaysia Snyder, Malaiya Snyder, Jhayden Morales, Peace Morales, Paris Morales, and Messiah Morales, all of Ferriday, LA; three nieces, Kamryn Belton, Kailyn Belton, both of Fayetteville, NC, and L’Niya Burrell; one nephew, Jabaron Burrell; one great-niece, Cambri Washington, ll of Ferriday, LA; six special cousins, Felicia Morales, of Shreveport, LA, Tandra Bost, of Minden, LA, Prideria Morales, of Las Vegas, NV, Valerie Thomas, of Ferriday, LA, Jamie Humphrey, Giavonnie Morales; a goddaughter, Cathyelle “Strawberry” Crockett, of Ferriday, LA; six aunts, Vera Sanderford (Herbert), of San Leandro, CA, Jean Young (Adam), of San Francisco, CA, Debra Andrews (Carlos), of Natchez, MS, Elize Williams (Robert Earl), of St. Joseph, LA, and Glinda Thomas Morales, Jonteel Morales, both of Ferriday, LA; five uncles, Charles Minor (Rosetta), of Fairfield, CA, Clifford Minor (Hattie), of Oakland, CA, Samuel Minor (Kim), of Tracy, CA, Robert Clark (Maryann), of Waterproof, LA, and Lucky Morales, of Ferriday, LA; and a host of other relatives and friends.
