Mosquito spraying in Natchez begins Monday

NATCHEZ — The City of Natchez will begin its annual mosquito control program on Monday.
The program aims to eradicate bothersome and disease-carrying mosquitos, said Natchez Mayor Dan Gibson in a press release issued Friday.
Spraying will commence on Monday and will continue on Tuesday and Thursday.
The selection of these specific spray dates has been planned to ensure a targeted and efficient approach to combatting the mosquito infestation in the area, Gibson said.
“This is set to bring relief and create a more pleasant outdoor environment for everyone in the community,” he said.
The following streets are scheduled for mosquito spraying on Monday:
O’Ferrall Street, Saint Catherine Street, Liberty Road, Junkin Street, Rembert Street, Lumber Street, Perrault Street, Quitman Street, O’Brien Street, Auburn Avenue, Winston Hill, Shaw Street, Keims Avenue, Bowles Alley, Old D’Evereux Street, Mallery Street, Byrnes Street, Franklin Street, Orange Street, Fourth Street, Fifth Street, Ouachita Street, East Franklin Street, Sixth Street, Caddo Street, Desoto Street, McCabe Street, Tyler Street, Monmouth Street, Melrose Avenue and Mascagni Avenue
The following streets are scheduled for mosquito spraying on Tuesday:
North MLK Street, Ivy Lane, Birdwood Drive, Vaughn Drive, Homewood Drive, Hunt Circle, Ram Circle, Dumas Drive, Ford Street, Florida Drive, Miami Court, Lafitte Street, Lafayette Street, Old Washington Road, Camp Street, Pepper Street, Ann Holden Lane, Holden Drive, Bowman Street, Fletcher Street, Laurel Avenue, Peachtree, Camellia Drive, North Shields Lane, Old Pond Road and Oakhurst Drive.
The following streets are scheduled for mosquito spray on Thursday:
Watkins Street, Millette Street, Hampton Street, Bob Lee Williams, Parker Street, College Street, W. Woodlawn Avenue, North Union Street, B Street, N. Rankin Street, Beulah Street, North Street, Roundale Street, Grinnell Street, York Street, Scotts Lane, Old Wilson Lane, Seal Lane, Texas Street, Alabama Street, Shead Baldwin Lane, Merrio Street, Louisiana Street, Inez Street and Daisey Street.
