FERRIDAY – Funeral services for Sylvester Jones, 65, of Ferriday, LA, who passed on Apr. 7, 2024, with his loving family right at his side, will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, Apr. 13, 2024, at Word of Faith Ambassadors Worship Center Outreach, Ferriday, LA, with Pastor Robbie Cade Furdge officiating.
Burial will follow at the Paige Family Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.
Visitation will be on Friday from 5 until 6 p.m. at the chapel.
Sylvester Jones was born Nov. 15, 1958, Ferriday, LA, the son of Roosevelt, Sr. and Bertha Cage Jones.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Bernard Jones.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories to his wife, Glenda Paige Jones; two sons, Terrence Jones, Kazeric Gorham, all of Ferriday, LA; five daughters, Tawanna Carter, and her husband, Calvin, of Baton Rouge, LA, Dakeeta Gorham, Cartersville, GA, Shontelle Hawkins, and her husband, Sherman, Denitria Gorham, Danielle Gorham; five brothers, Roosevelt Jones, Jr., Leroy Jones, Carl Jones, Calvin Jones, and his wife, Pamela, Jeffery Jones; two sisters, Phronel Mays, and her husband, Freddie, Ruby Moore, and her husband, Marvin, all of Ferriday, LA; nineteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; four aunts, two uncles; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
