NATCHEZ – Memorial services for Darrell Kartrell Jones, 53, of Irving, TX, formerly of Natchez, who departed this earthly life on Monday, April 1, 2024, in Fort Worth, TX, will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 4:30 p.m. at West Gate Funeral Home (George F. West, Sr. Memorial Chapel).

Services under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Darrell was born July 14, 1970, in Natchez, the son of David and Mary Hawkins. He was a 1988 graduate of South Natchez Adams High School and was employed as a waiter at PO Melvin’s Restaurant in Irving, TX. Darrell enjoyed spending time with friends and family, cooking, fishing, and playing dominoes, and basketball. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Murray Davis, Alena Hawkins, and David Hawkins, Sr.; aunt, Betty Cameron and uncles, Bill Hawkins, Albert Davis, and Marshall Davis.

Darrell leaves to cherish his memories: his parents, David and Mary Hawkins; son, Tatum Browning; daughter, Marionna Jones; significant other, Jessica Browning; brothers, David Jones (Irum) and Terrell Jones (Nikki); sisters, Danielle Jones and Nameka Jones (Eric); seven nieces, three nephews, one great-niece, one great-nephew, other relatives and friends.
