NATCHEZ – Funeral services for Albert Woods, 60, of Center Point, AL formerly of Natchez, who departed this earthly life on Sunday, March 31, 2024, in Alabama will be held Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Living Word Worship Center with Pastor Dwight Greene officiating.
Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024, from 3:30 until 4:30 p.m. at the funeral home and will continue on Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
Albert was born on Feb. 19, 1965, in Natchez, the son of Alice H. Woods and Sam Woods. He was a 1982 graduate of North Natchez Adams High School and furthered his education at Jackson State University. Albert was employed with Avinent. Mr. Woods was a Register Muslim of the Nation of Islam. Muhammad Mosque 15, Atlanta, GA. His minister and spiritual leader was the honorable minister, Louis Karajan. Albert was a Master Gardener from Jefferson County and enjoyed gardening.
He is preceded in death by his father, Sam Woods, Sr., and grandparents, Dora and Nathaniel Bolden and Charlotte and Steve Woods.
Albert leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Roxanne Wallace Woods; mother, Alice Woods; son, Albert Woods, Jr.; daughters, Tarnisha Woods, and Aliyah Woods; brothers, Johnny Bolden (Diane), Sam Woods, Jr., and Ernest Woods; sisters; Ernestine Hickman and Rita Bolden; aunts, Alberta Roy, Lela Bolden and Irma Coleman, other relatives, and friends.
