NATCHEZ – Small business owners will have the chance to visit with banks and lenders at an event on Friday.

The Small Business Borrower – Lender Match-Making Event is will be Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Natchez Convention Center.

The U.S. Small Business Administration Mississippi District Office (SBA) will be the hosts for this event.

This event will allow small business owners and entrepreneurs to meet with banks, micro-lenders, alternative lenders and SBA to discuss the availability of SBA loans.

A one-stop forum for business owners and entrepreneurs to:

• Pitch financing needs to top small business lenders
• Learn what lenders look for in a winning loan proposal
• Understand the loan application process

Come prepared with multiple copies of your business plan for distribution.

SBA has a “Build a Business Plan” online tool guides small business owners through creating a basic, downloadable business plan.

Another great resource is the Mississippi Resource Partners Network.

Call the SBA Mississippi District Office at (601) 965-4378 to locate your nearest counselor for assistance in preparing your business plan.

Representatives from the Resource Partners Network will be available for individual consultations.

SBA’s Learning Center hosts a variety of self-paced online training courses to help entrepreneurs explore and learn about the many aspects of business ownership.

On-site appointments will be made with lenders so arrive early.
