NATCHEZ — Severe weather is expected in the Miss-Lou region this afternoon through tonight.

“We are putting everyone on notice for the severe weather heading our way this afternoon,” said Neifa Hardy, Adams County Emergency Management Community Liaison.

“We’re expecting strong winds, possible tornadoes, and hail between the hours of 3 and 8 p.m.”

The National Weather Service alert says severe thunderstorms forecasted for the area could bring damaging wind gusts up to 70 miles per hour and tornadoes.

Some strong or long-tracked tornadoes will be possible.

Hail up to the size of quarters will also be possible.
