MONTEREY, La. — The Monterey Fire Department responded to a travel trailer that caught fire around noon today.

The fire on Patsy Brown Road was a total loss to the trailer, officials said. Its owner Joseph Franklin, who occupied the trailer when the fire started, got out safely.

The blaze had been reportedly contained and no other structures were exposed to fire, officials said.

The fire is now out. No injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire is still being determined.
