NATCHEZ – Funeral services for Charles Edward Singleton, 70, of Natchez, who passed away on March 1, 2024, will be held on Monday, March 11, 2024, at St. Mary’s Baptist Church at 11 a.m. under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery.
Visitation services will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2024, from 4 until 6 p.m. at the Marshall Funeral Home Chapel in Natchez and on Monday, March 11, 2024, from 10 a.m. until the service time at the church.
Charles, affectionately known as “Big Dog”, was born on June 27, 1953, in Natchez, MS, to Clarence and Lurenda Singleton. He was a veteran of the United States Army and enjoyed gardening, fishing, and spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Clarence Singleton and Willie Singleton; and one sister, D’Ella Bell.
Charles leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Alfreda Singleton; three daughters, Monica Mosby, Nancy (Martin) Ortiz, Danielle (Vashion) Singleton; two sons, Rodney (Andra) Boyd, Lzeddrick (Sena) Thomas; one brother, Chris Singleton; three sisters, Alice King, Florence Pickett, Dorothy King; one godsister, Sue Weatherspoon; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
