NATCHEZ – Services for Angie R. Farrell, 63, who died Monday, March 4, 2024, at Merit Health Natchez, will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at 11 a.m., at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with graveside services following at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Laird Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at Laird Funeral Home from 5 until 7 p.m. and from 10 until 11 a.m. on Thursday.

Mrs. Farrell was born June 8, 1960, in Winnsboro, LA, the daughter of the late Robert and Dorothy J. Segrest. She was preceded in death by her mother and father; sister, Bobbie Ann Segrest, and her brother, George Segrest.

Angie was a respected nurse in the community for many years. She loved flowers and kept beautiful flower beds. She adored her grandchildren. Her memory will live on with many lives that she has touched over the years.

Survivors include husband, Harvey Farrell; son, Justin Whitehead and wife, Cristy of Madison; daughter, Amy McDonald and husband, Brad of Natchez; grandchildren, Chad Allen Whitehead, Madi McDonald, Hunter Segrest Whitehead, and Bailey Whitehead; sister, Connie Archer; brother, John Segrest and wife, Kim, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Harvey Farrell, Chad Whitehead, Drey Prescott, Dallas Bass, Andy Sadler, and Dawson Marsman.

Honorary pallbearers will be Locke Wheeler, Patrick Lehman, Dillon Holmes, Brad McDonald, and Hunter Whitehead.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Merit Health Natchez, Dr. Akinremi Akinwale, and ICU nurses, Hospice Compassus, Nurse Jackie with Compassus, Alicia Switzer, and Dr. Charles Borum, for the excellent and compassionate care provided, as well as the support for the family.
