NATCHEZ — The Kitchen Bistro & Piano Bar at 312 Main St. in Natchez has permanently closed.
The fine dining restaurant once served food and beverages in an eclectic atmosphere with live entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights. However, the doors have not been open since October 2023.
The restaurant announced its closing was permanent on its social media page on Saturday without any more explanation.
“The Kitchen Bistro and Piano Bar is permanently closed,” it shared. “Thank you all for your patronage.”
People responded to the post saddened by the news.
“Definitely our favorite restaurant when we were in town, always great food!” said Lesley Smith Shermer.
“So sad, but we will always remember the great night we had there on our 50th wedding anniversary!” said Sheila Medders Gunter.
The phone number of the restaurant is no longer in service. Owner Greg Everhart said he didn’t want to comment for this story.
The restaurant had a four-and-one-half-star rating on Trip Advisor.
A customer on Trip Advisor, Jcomeaux_33, left a review saying that the customer’s reservation was canceled by phone call.
“We always dine at The Kitchen when in town. Made reservations a month in advance but received a call from the GM that the owner had closed the business. Appreciated the phone call but disappointed and saddened as we love dining here.”
