FERRIDAY, La. — A Clayton man who had been out on bond for attempted murder was arrested last week when detectives found him at the Sonic drive-in in Ferriday with a juvenile whom he allegedly drugged and attacked.

Myja Thompson, 26, of Clayton, was booked in the Concordia Parish Jail Wednesday on charges of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile, possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of schedule II controlled substances (fentanyl), monetary instrument abuse, and possession of schedule I controlled substances (marijuana).

According to a news release from Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office, detectives received a call on Tuesday, Feb. 26, regarding a juvenile who had been given narcotics and physically attacked by an adult male subject later identified as Thompson.

She was reportedly in the vehicle with her attacker at the time of the call.

The vehicle was located at the Sonic in Ferriday with both Thompson and the juvenile inside and Thompson driving.

He was detained and found to have a loaded firearm and narcotics in his possession. Detectives also learned he was out on bond for an attempted murder charge in Catahoula Parish.

The sheriff’s office said that the juvenile had been with Thompson for two days under the influence of narcotics and had engaged in sexual activity with him numerous times.

Narcotics detectives executed a search warrant at his Clayton residence later the same day and found three grams of fentanyl along with $1,255 in counterfeit cash.

Anyone who is arrested is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
