RAYMOND — Jamarius Bell was a force for Natchez High School both on the mound and at the plate in leading the Bulldogs to a resounding 12-4 win over the Raymond High School Rangers on Monday night.
Jamarius Bell got the start and went three innings, allowing one earned run on just one hit, struck out five batters and walked only three. He also went 3-for-4 with a double, one run batted in, and three runs scored to lead Natchez High’s 10-hit attack.
The Bulldogs led 2-1 after one inning of play over the Rangers before scoring four runs in the top of the sixth inning. Raymond scored one run off Mason Bouldin in the bottom of the fifth inning to make it a 6-2 game, but Natchez High scored three runs in the top of the sixth and two runs in the top of the seventh to put the game away.
JaCori Davis went 2-for-3 with a double, one RBI, and two runs scored while Bouldin went 2-for-5 with a double, a triple, two runs scored, and two RBIs. Martavis Woods was 1-for-4 with a double, was walked once, and scored two runs.
