GALLMAN — Adams County Christian School’s varsity boys’ basketball team saw its season come to an end last Tuesday afternoon as the South No. 4 seed Rebels lost to the North No. 1 seed Heritage Academy Patriots 64-39 in the boys’ quarterfinals of the 2024 MAIS Class 5A State Tournament at Copiah Academy.

ACCS was looking to get back on track after back-to-back losses to Oak Forest Academy and Copiah Academy at last week’s Class 5A South State Tournament kept the Rebels from entering the state tournament with a higher seed.

But that was not meant to be for the Rebels against one of the top teams in all of MAIS Class 5A in Heritage Academy. ACCS ended its season on a three-game losing streak.

Efforts to reach Rebels head coach Matthew Freeman for statistics and comments on the game were unsuccessful.

The Rebels finished with an overall record of 20-6. They will return most of their players from this season, but they will lose three players to graduation later this spring in seniors Charles Brooks, Jack Peterman, and Tyson Young.
