WATERPROOF – Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Taylor Warren, 85, of Baton Rouge, LA formerly of Waterproof, LA will be held Saturday, Jan. 20, 2024, at 11 a.m. from the Myrtle Grove Baptist Church in Waterproof. Burial will follow at the Myrtle Grove Cemetery in Waterproof under the directions of Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday, LA. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 4 until 6 p.m. at the funeral home and again on Saturday morning from 10 a.m. until service time at the church.
Mrs. Warren, daughter of Samuel and Maggie Tanner Taylor, was born in Oak Ridge, LA, and died at her daughter’s home in Baton Rouge.
She is survived by her children, Larry Warren (Erma), and Mary Hawthorne (Fred) all of Houston, TX, Jesse Reed (Verrie) of Natchez, Lisa Hammond (Graylin), Gladys Scott (Edward) all of Baton Rouge, Shirley Dibartolo (Anthony) of Atlanta, GA, LaTonia Critney (Ricky) of Addis, LA; a daughter-in-law, Carol Warren of Baton Rouge; sister-in-law, Ella Holmes of Houston, TX; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Abe Warren, Sr.; two sons, Gregory Warren and Abe Warren, Jr., and one daughter, Ethel Smith.
