NATCHEZ — Adams County Emergency Management officials ask all non-essential workers to stay at home and off of dangerously icy roads.
“If they do not need to be out, they should be home,” said Neifa Hardy, Adams County EMA Liaison Officer, adding emergency vehicles and road department vehicles are out doing emergency tasks.
The Mississippi Department of Transportation closed the flyover ramp from U.S. 61 South to Sergent Prentiss Drive due to ice late Monday. It will not be reopened until road conditions improve. Other road closures and obstructions have not been posted as of yet, however, ice has been reported along U.S. 61 and other areas, dangerous to drivers.
