WATERPROOF – Funeral services for Mary L. King, 90, of Waterproof, LA will be held Friday, Jan. 12, 2023, at 11 a.m. at the Myrtle Grove Baptist Church in Waterproof. Burial will follow at the Myrtle Grove Cemetery in Waterproof under the directions of Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday.

Mrs. King, daughter of Omar and Annie Davis Powell, was born in Waterproof and died at the Heritage Manor Health & Rehab Center in Ferriday. She was a devoted member of Myrtle Grove Baptist Church where she served on the usher board.

She is survived by her husband, Leroy King of Waterproof; one nephew, Lamont, and his wife, Tamu of Austin, TX; and her godchild, Jacqueline McMillan of Waterproof. And a number of other relatives and friends.
