FERRIDAY – Memorial services for Gloria Jean Cupit, 87, of Vidalia, LA will be held at Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday on Friday, Jan. 5, 2024, at 10 a.m. with Bro. Ken Ensminger officiating under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Gloria Jean Cupit was born on Friday, Oct. 30, 1936, in Winnsboro, LA. and passed away Monday, Jan. 1, 2024, in Vidalia, LA. She was a resident of Vidalia and a member of Vidalia First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Phillip Edward Gilmore Sr. and Virgie Forman Gilmore; her husband, George Cupit Sr.; three brothers, Phillip Edward Gilmore Jr., Felix “Mac” Gilmore, and Charles Randy Gilmore, and great-grandson, Tucker Cross Hinson.
She is survived by her son, George Cupit Jr. of Vidalia, LA; daughter, Susan Cupit Hinson and her husband, Denny of Vidalia, LA; son, Glenn Cupit and his wife, Tammie of Berry, AL; four grandsons, Matt Hinson and his wife, Alysha, Brett Hinson and his wife, Kayce, Kammeron Cupit and his wife, Marla, and Casey Cupit; four granddaughters, Peyton Lowery and her husband, Lane, Paige Simmons and her husband, Skyler, Brooke Cangemi and her husband, Cole, and Brittany Morace; brothers, Clifton “Douglas” Gilmore and his wife, Jeannie of Orlando, FL and Joel Dennis Gilmore of Crosby, MS; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers will be Matt Hinson, Brett Hinson, Kammeron Cupit, Casey Cupit, Lane Lowery, and Skyler Simmons.
The family will receive friends at  Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday from 9 a.m. until service time on Friday.
