RAYVILLE, La. — The Vidalia High School Vikings won two games at the Big “E” Classic at Rayville High School last week, first the defeating LHSAA Class 3A Bastrop High School Rams 56-46 last Wednesday night before beating the General Trass High School Panthers 56-38 last Thursday night.

No other information was available for Vidalia’s victory over Bastrop. In the Vikings’ win over General Trass, they jumped out to a 21-10 lead over the Panthers at the end of the first quarter and never looked back.

Vidalia then put the clamps on General Trass even more in the second and third quarters. The Vikings outscored the Panthers 15-8 in the second quarter for a 36-18 halftime lead and 14-4 in the third quarter for a commanding 50-22 advantage.

With Vidalia playing its reserves off the bench in the fourth quarter, General Trass outscored the Vikings 16-6 in the fourth quarter.

Vidalia (7-3) next plays on Monday, Dec. 18 when the Vikings play host to Sicily Island High School at 7:30 p.m., which follows the varsity girls’ game at 6 p.m.
