CENTREVILLE — Cathedral High School’s junior varsity and varsity basketball teams were originally scheduled to travel to Centreville to take on Centreville Academy’s JV and varsity hoops teams last Thursday.
However, those games ended up being canceled. In fact, Taylor Strahan, who coaches Cathedral’s JV and varsity Lady Green Wave teams, said in an email last Friday morning that the games had to be moved weeks ago. But he did not give a reason as to why the four-game set did not take place.
Yet the games will not be rescheduled because Cathedral could not find a date to fit those games into its schedule. The Lady Green Wave and Green Wave traveled to Monroe, La. to take on River Oaks School last Friday while Centreville Academy’s JV and varsity Lady Tigers hit the road to Columbia to face off with Columbia Academy last Friday.
