NATCHEZ – Funeral services for Tyreek Rayshawn Lewis, 21, of Natchez, who departed this earthly life on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2023, in Natchez will be held Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023, at 10 a.m. at West Gate Funeral Home (George F. West, Sr. Memorial Chapel) with Rev. Dr. Ernest Ford, Sr. officiating.

Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held Friday, Dec. 15, 2023, from 4:30 until 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home and will continue on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023, from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Tyreek was born on Dec. 3, 2002, in Houston, TX, the son of Paula C. Lewis and Shawn Phillips. He was a graduate of the Natchez High Class of 2021 and attended Co-Lin Junior College. Tyreek was employed with Rolling River Reloaded and Wal-Mart-Vidalia. Mr. Lewis was a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church and enjoyed music.

He is preceded in death by his mother; grandfather, Jacques Cooper; great-grandparents, Herbert and Rosa Lewis; aunt, Darleen L. Johnson and godsister, Keiyeira Reynolds.

Tyreek leaves to cherish his memories: his father; his son, Kaisen Johnson and his mother, Breanna Johnson; sister, Markayla B. Lewis; grandmother, Joyce Lewis; uncle, Darrick R. Lewis, Sr. (Danielle); first cousins, Darrick R. Lewis, Jr. and Nyia Lewis, other relatives and friends.
