A Celebration of Life for Rebecca Lynn Maxie, 46, of Natchez, MS will be held at Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2023, from noon until 2 p.m., under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Rebecca Lynn Maxie was born on Saturday, Dec. 11, 1976, in Lafayette, LA. and passed away Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2023, in Natchez, MS.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, W.W. Maxie, Jr.; maternal grandparents, John and Nell Sturgeon, and aunt, Shirley Williamson.

Rebecca is survived by her mother, Mary Nell Dixon of Natchez, MS; father, William Maxie and his wife, Omayra of Panama; sisters, Melissa Maxie-Hall and her husband, Trey of San Antonio, TX, Shirley Nicole Maxie of Panama and Aileen Scarlett Maxie of Panama, and paternal grandmother, Dorothy N. Williams of Ferriday, LA. She is also survived by a host of Family and Friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Natchez Adams County Humane Society at 475 Liberty Road, Natchez, MS 39120.
